Citrus Nail Art

This nail art is just right for spring/summer!! I used a glitter backround but you can use any color! I was going to show a tutorial but it is very simple... Using the color you want just slowly rotate you finger as you brush the polish on, then using a thin brush or even a nail art pen do the inside, I added a darker color on the outside, again with the thin brush. I did oranges, lemons & limes but you can do kiwi, grapefruit, etc just have fun with it!! :)

Spring Time.... ♥

I really hope you are trying some of these designs, you'll notice its very very simple. For the flowers in this one its just 4 circles, or a kinda rounded out "x" and a yellow dot in the middle. Like I've said in almost every post play with color!! The flowers can be bright colors, pastels or even neon!! Have fun with your nails!! :)

Night Owl...

Very quick & easy design!! ohhh yea... & cute!! Have fun making the owl, remember to show your own creativity in every manicure. I used blue and yellow but mix it up!!

Eye of the Tiger!!

Grrrrr......

Whats better than animal print manis??... one that forms a picture of course!!

This one takes a little more time because of the detail, but well worth it!! I used a nail art brush but you can use nail art pens for much faster easier results. I also tried to make the eyes look fierce, but it looks like a cuddly tiger... lol!! 

Get creative with this one, try other animals & of course send me pics!! :) 

Close up of the eyes and nose, I forgot to include the red I used for the nose in the colors used, but you can use any red, even a metallic red would look amazing!! :)

Cupcakes... ♥

This is so easy to do & you can be creative with it! I used glitter to be like sprinkles but you can use just about anything!! I also made the little cups blue & the back round silver, but it can be any color!! The idea is to have fun with it... its a very cute manicure.

Basket Case....

I was reading online last night that perfect airbrush nails are now a thing of the past, but unique & imperfect nails are a new way to express ourselves. So this motivated me to think of the weirdest manicure & try it out! I saw something similar to this on someone not too long ago, I found it so hilarious, so I decided to make my own twist to it!! It does take patience & a steady hand, but well worth it! The mouths don't have to be perfect, that's the whole point of them... make them as weird & funny looking as possible!!

Here is a close up of one nail, if you can see in the pic above all the mouths are different and above them I put little nostrils. Just get creative, make each nail unique!!

Bumble Bee Nails

Spring Time!!

Its the end of April & I woke up thinking it was going to be a sunny day, well it's not... its snowing off and on!! I know its just flurries, but I want warm weather!!! 

This manicure is so cute!! I got to use my Sally Hansen nail art pen, it was so much easier and the dots I made look so good! 

Step One: 

Top Cosmetics - Sea Blue 482

I used a metallic light blue but a regular sky blue would look great too!!

Step Two:

Make some clouds using the end of the brush and then on index finger make an "x" for the bee.

Step Three:

I made the bee shape in two parts, one round for the head & the other like a long oval for the body. You'll start to see it coming out!! :)

Step Four:

Outline the bee, make face & antennas. Along the other nails make the little outline of the bee's trail, get creative with this part, you can make loops and swirls its soooo easy with the nail art pen!

New Additions to the Obsession!!

Yesterday I was lying in bed feeling kinda crappy & my amazing boyfriend came home from the grocery store, he gave a gift bag full of goodies to make me feel better!! Including a new book, 5 new nail polishes & 2 nail art pens, 1 nail art polish, nail polish remover, cotton balls & a kit-kat bar. sooo.. exciting!! 

I had seen since last year that Sally Hansen came out with Nail Art Pens, well I thought they weren't going to be that great, he got me 2 a blue & black. I tried them out last night and I love love love them!! You just have to be careful not to press down too hard and its a-ma-zing!! 

Anyone that knows my boyfriend, knows that he likes flashy bright colors, he is asking that they change his work uniform from navy blue to lime green... that's how much he loves green!! Well, he got me a bottle of Orly Instant Artist in Neon Yellow & I must say I love it too!! The color is so amazing, I am going to have so much fun this summer with colors like that!!

Gradient Manicure

I love love love.... this manicure!! Its pretty easy once you get the hang of it, I've seen it done just with the brushes but I did mine with a sponge. Try it with different colors, I did mine like a starry night and coated it with glitter.

Watermelon Nails

I know its only the end of April, but I am itching for summer to be here!! So what better way to prepare than to do my first tutorial!! This may take a little longer than others I will be posting in the future, the layers take a little bit to dry completely, but its worth it!! 


Step One: 
Rimmel 60 Seconds - 619 PULSATING
I know watermelon is more a red color but for me using the pink just makes it  more unique!!

Step Two: 
Just do a french tip, doesn't have to be perfect most of the white gets covered by the green anyways. It also doesn't have to be white it can be beige, light pink, etc. 

Step Three: 
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - GREEN WITH ENVY 110
Go over the white leaving a little line going across. You may find it easier to use a nail art brush, but just remember it doesn't have to be perfect! :)

Step Four:
L.A. Colors Art Deco - YELLOW NA917
Make small vertical lines on the green part. It doesn't have to be yellow it can be another shade of green, just make sure it's a lighter color than the green you use. 

Step Five: 
Using a black just make little dots on the pink part of the nail and try to stretch them out. 

I didnt take a picture with a top coat but once you have it on it looks soooo... CUTE!!

Like I said, it becomes an obsession... now even when I watch t.v., I closely look at their nails!! On Pretty Little Liars they always seem to have awesome manis...

Everyone loves animal print & if you match it with a flaming red... well that just makes it sexier! You can go out and buy the sticker kind of nail polish in leopard print but it gives it a unique touch and leopard print only looks like its a lot of work but its so simple if you get a nail pen and you can use the pen for so many different things!!! :)
